Suffolk in the East of England is a very pretty part of the UK. Suffolk offers beautiful unspoilt countryside combined with historic villages and towns and also a beautiful coastline dotted with seaside resorts and towns. The countryside in Suffolk, particularly in the summer time, has wild flowers, birds and bees galore and is a charming place to enjoy country walks or cycling around country lanes. Although a delightful county to visit, Suffolk has the advantage of not being a typical tourist destination which means you are more likely to enjoy more relaxed luxury cottage holidays away from crowds or long queues.
Inland in Suffolk there are delightful historical villages and towns such as Lavenham – a medieval wool town with a great number of listed buildings and pretty Tudor style cottages and Long Melford which is small and charming and home to Kentwell – a historical tudor mansion. Suffolk is perfect for enjoying cream teas and relaxing with family or friends. In terms of the Suffolk coast, places like Aldeburgh, Lowestoft or Southwold are elegant seaside towns well worth a visit.
Suffolk is a special place to go on a luxury cottage holiday – particularly for romantic breaks but also for luxury family cottage holidays. Luxury cottages in Suffolk are a good option for those whose enjoyment of a holiday is heightened by staying in a comfortable luxury holiday cottage.
