Places to Visit

This free exhibition has model of the village as it was before the flood, as well personal accounts of the event, photos of the aftermath and even conspiracy theories examining the floods cause (Open East-October). There is also a great wealth of information of the 1952 flood, as well as more history of the area, at the Lyn and Exmoor Museum.
- Enjoy breathtaking views of the Southwest Coast Path at the Valley of the Rocks. The walk up to this attraction can be a challenge, but the views that await you make this absolutely worthwhile. Visitors to the valley also get to meet the feral goats of the area, which is sure to please the kids.

- Set sail with a Boat Trip from Lynmouth. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy a boat trip around the coastline. - Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway. This famous attraction is the perfect way to travel between Lynton and Lynmouth. You and your family will be transported along an 827 foot track which takes you from Lynmouth on the ground to Lynton which is 500 feet above it (and vice versa). Along the way you will be treated to excellent views of the coast and surrounding area.
