Booking Info and Advice

  • Always call and speak to owners or agencies before placing a booking. This allows you to get answers to any questions you may have and to get a feel for the owner or agency. Always double check bank details and payment methods with owners or agencies over the phone before booking.
  • For your own security you should NEVER complete a Bank Transfer to a country outside of the UK or Ireland without checking this first with cottagegems.com. Email us for advice.
  • It is strongly advised that you take appropriate holiday insurance out to cover your cottage holiday. Some agencies listed with us offer this. Alternatively you can source holiday insurance independently.

There are 5 self-catering eco barns at Asheston Eco Barns in Pembrokeshire. If you enjoy luxurious surroundings but are also passionate about the environment, a stay at Asheston Eco Barns could be for you. These stylish barns are 5 star rated and 2011 gold-award winners of the Pembrokeshire Tourism Awards.

Description

Asheston Eco Barns are 5 traditional Welsh stone farm buildings found in the stunning county of Pembrokeshire in Wales. These wonderful barns have been refurbished to the highest standards with much retained character and state of the art eco-friendly technology. A wind turbine is your source of electricity whilst heat comes from the underground geo-thermal heat pumps and hot water comes from the high speed vacuum solar panels. Rain water is also recycled and used to reduce water usage, whilst waste is treated in a bio-digester.

The barns are actually all attached which provides ideal accommodation for large family holidays where each can occupy their own barn but still be adjacent to each other. All the barns are finished to a high standard with antique furniture and fittings and traditional log burning stoves.

The Cart house boasts a beautiful window with stone archway and can sleep 6 guests with a large double/twin bedroom downstairs and two further double rooms upstairs.

The Stables is the longest barn on the farm and offers modern barn facilities and great charming features. This barn can also sleep 6 and has a master bedroom suite, a large double/twin room and a bunk room for children.

The Barn is a luxury unit and has 2 large double bedrooms with en-suites and can therefore accommodate up to 4 guests. There is also a large kitchen/lounge/diner.

The Grain Store is a lovely property with double height ceilings in the living, dining and kitchen area. The barn can sleep up to 6 guests in a large double room and two double/twin rooms.

The Cow shed is the final property and boasts stunning views from the contemporary bedroom that has a balcony. There is a separate lounge, dining room and kitchen and 3 bedrooms upstairs.

There is a large grassed area to the front of the barns for guests to enjoy and also a fenced off wildlife pond and enclosed childrens play area. Children are very welcome and we can also provide additional baby friendly measures.
