Suran-Y-Coed is a luxury pine lodge set within private fenced grounds in the lovely country of Powys, mid Wales. This wonderful cabin benefits from stunning surrounding views of the hills and natural woodlands that shelter this private valley. The lodge can accommodate up to four guests in two bedrooms, with an open-plan ground floor kitchen, dining area and living area. Suran-Y-Coed boasts its own private hot tub allowing guests to enjoy the wonderful outdoors during the day and at night.
There is plenty for guests to do in the local area with fishing, horse-riding, cycling, hiking and clay-pigeon shooting all offering great ways to explore the beautiful Powys countryside. There are also a number of attractions nearby which are great for a day-trip, including Ludlow Castle, the Small Breeds & Owl Farm, Shrewsbury City and Elan Valley Dams. Knighton is situated on the River Teme and is surrounded by stunning open countryside which creates the perfect setting for a luxury self-catering retreat.
Powys is the largest county in Wales covering central and mid Wales as well as the majority of the Brecon Beacons. With unspoilt countryside, inspiring mountain ranges and exciting opportunities, Powys is a wonderful county to visit for an insight into Welsh culture. There is no chance of you getting bored in this fantastic county due to the stunning rivers, beautiful haunted castles, fantastic mountain trails and brilliant cycle paths. There are so many opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors you will be spoilt for choice. Spend the day fishing at a quiet lake or river, enjoy a family hack through superb woodland, go for a paddle on the River Wye in a canoe or enjoy a sunny game of golf. If, however you have come to Wales to kick back and relax then there are also some brilliant attractions that you may wish to spend your days investigating such as Llwernog Silver- Lead mines and Geo-caverns, Glansevern Hall Gardens, Montgomery Castle or Tretower Castle and Court. Family fun can be had at Gigrin Farm, the Brecon Mountain Railway and King Arthur’s Labyrinth. Before you leave this spectacular part of Britain don’t forget to visit one of the fabulous farmers markets and gather together some luxurious locally produced goods for you to take home with you. You may even wish to visit a market at the start of your holiday to collect together all your weekly food necessities.
