Ferrystone, a charming three-bedroom apartment in Devon's historic village of Kingswear, is just a short trip on the ferry across to Dartmouth in Devon. There is no better place than Ferrystone for a group or family of six searching for a self-catered holiday near the River Dart in Devon. Be welcomed into the sitting room where you can look forward to evenings relaxing in front of your favourite series on the wall-mounted TV. When it’s time for dinner, cook-up a storm in the contemporary kitchen which has all you need to impress your guests with culinary delights. Settle down to savour a flavourful meal at the dining table for six, as the wine is poured, and plans are made for the days ahead or settle down with a good book on the window seat admiring the views across the river to Dartmouth. If you’re not ready for the evening to end, why not enjoy your favourite tipple up on the private roof terrace? Indulge in a refreshing shower after a day of exploring, before stepping into the warm embrace of a fluffy towel, courtesy of the heated towel rail. There is also a convenient cloakroom available, ideal for those quick freshen-ups! As your eyes grow heavy, retire to one of three beautifully decorated bedrooms, a kingsize sleigh bed with TV and en-suite shower room and a superking (twins on request) and a further double room with kingsize bed, each with plenty of storage for your belongings. The property also benefits from a separate utility room with washing machine and a large storage area ideal for bikes or paddleboards with a public slipway just yards away by the Royal Dart Yacht Club. Take advantage of your superb location, where you can enjoy leisurely walks along the River Dart, visit the 16th-century Kingswear Castle with fantastic sea views, hike along the Coast Path or explore the wonders of the 1920’s National Trust site of Coleton Fishacre which includes an exotic garden. If walking isn’t your thing, hop aboard the heritage Dartmouth Steam Railway where you can enjoy a scenic tour to Paignton. For those evenings where you don’t fancy cooking, treat your loved ones to a tasty meal at The Ship Inn or Steam Packet Inn. Catch the ferry over to Dartmouth, where you can brush up on your local history at the Dartmouth Museum, explore the historic sites of the 16th-century Bayard’s Cove, Dartmouth Castle with its 15th-century tower, or hire a boat to enjoy a relaxing sail along the River Dart. For a fun-filled day the beach, head over to the glorious Blue-Flag beach of Blackpool Sands, here you can paddle the shores, try your hand at kayaking or paddle boarding, or treat your loved ones to an ice cream from the nearby café. Be sure to check out the nearby Woodlands Family Theme Park, which offers an excellent selection of rides and attractions, a zoo/farm and play areas. Just a little further is Totnes, home to an impressive Norman castle which overlooks the town, the Totnes Image Bank, the Totnes Fashion & Textiles Museum and the picturesque parks of Borough and Leechwell Garden.
